Community Outreach
My primary focus is research, but I have taught several courses and periodically act as a guest lecturer for specialty topics. I am currently working with the Montreal AMAL Center for Women to raise awareness about mental health issues for immigrants and refugees and promote science-driven policy advocacy. I also act as an editorial assistant and peer reviewer for the World Cultural Psychiatry Research Review (WCPRR), which provides free open-access publishing mostly to researchers from underrepresented countries. Periodically I also offer specialized writing workshops for student at McGill University.
